HDW Player Download

Add to your Own page

HDW Player is still trying to better the Examples section. Mail your ideas to [email protected]

We consider that you have placed the player folder at the root of your server. The entire documentation part of the site (and any future reference) would assume that you have placed the "player" folder in the root. But, please remember that you can place the unzipped folder at any part of your server and configure it properly to get the expected output.

Adding HDW Player to your Own Page

To have your web pages play videos with HDW Player, you must embed HDW Player in those pages. For each page there are certain steps:

1. Include file hdwebplayer.js in the web page.

2. Create a div holder.

3. Load the player with one JavaScript statement.

Step 1: To include file hdwebplayer.js in the web page you place the following tag in the HEAD section of your web page:

<script src="https://www.hdwplayer.com/media2/js/hdwplayer.js"></script>

Step 2: Create atag with any id value assigned to it and place it in the BODY section of your webpage.

<div id="player"></div>

Step 3: Finally to load the player, you place the following script in the next line of the tag and make the id value of the script similar to above tag.

<script>
hdwplayer({
	id      : 'player',
	swf     : '/media2/files/player.swf',
	width   : '640',
	height  : '360'
});
</script>

The result: So a complete functional web page that plays videos with HDW Player is:

<html>
<head>
	<title>Sample Integration</title>
	<script src="/media2/js/hdwebplayer.js"></script>
</head>
<body>

<div id="player"></div>

<script>
hdwplayer({
	id      : 'player',
	swf     : '/media2/files/player.swf',
	width   : '640',
	height  : '360'
});
</script>

</body>
</html>

Congrats! You have added HDW Player to your webpage but still you have not added any video to the player to experience it completely. Let us discuss them in further topics.
